More than only meals, we focus on the inner workings of culinary arts, the ways to build a business, and how to involve our communities together.  Within the three months, we will study food origins and history, the skills of being a culinary artist, developing the craft, and key points of customer service and service of influence.

Culture of Brazilian Art Seminar (ATS 127)

“A people that does not know its history is fated to repeat it”. (Edmund Burke) There are beauties and wounds in the history of the Brazilian people, but when we look at our past, as difficult as it may be, there will be hope for the present and the future. In order to provide a brief overview on: the history of the formation of the Brazilian people, the importance of orality in the perpetuation of what we are, our rhythms, dances, celebrations and folklore; this seminar aims to bring the perspective of adoption (Ephesians 1.5) and belonging as Brazilians, generating response in our mandate and cultural actions and cultivating and sharing stories as preciosity- (Isaiah 45. 8)

Fashion Design Seminar (ATS 125)

We aim to model for fashion designers, stylists, and bloggers how to use fashion to reach out to people in all spheres of society. We also aim to break down structure-based limitations and curriculum barriers. We attempt to make YWAM more open and inclusive for a broader expression of the body of Christ to be able to experience a missional lifestyle through this sphere of influence in society. Our desire is to bring light into the field of fashion.

During the internship, we will explore how we can do fashion for the kingdom of God, embrace and grow in our identity as artists, and how we can use fashion to have an impact in the fashion industry.

We will go through the process of creating clothes from designing to making, and we will create pieces and collections that reflect what we believe in and what God puts on our hearts to communicate to the people around us.
